Player Accessories

You might think your MP3 Player or iPod is cool but wait till you see what else you can do with it!

First off, you'll probably want a decent set of headphones. Some folks are happy with the ear buds supplied but many don't like the ear bud style and few of the supplied headphones can compare in quality to a dedicated set.

As well as getting more comfortable phones, you can also get closed back phones which provide a more immersive sound and which are making a comeback in big way.

You'll almost certainly want a skin or case to keep your Player safe from scratches and you might want to add a screen protector to protect the sensitive screen from change and purse damage.

A Dock will be on most people's want list. Not only does this offer an easy way to charge yourPlayer (without having to connect it to a computer) but it will also play your music through its external speakers.

Check carefully if a Dock is compatible with your Player. Most Docks are for the iPod but even there, not all are compatible with all versions.

You might also want to think about a wall charger and an in-car charger for times when you're travelling or not near your Dock or computer. There's nothing worse than running out of steam in the middle of nowhere - metaphorically speaker! - with no way to recharge.

Manufacturers have invented a host of other addons to enhance your iPdo and MP3 Player. For example, there are gizmos that can turn it into an alarm clock. What better way to start the day than to wake up listening to your favorite tunes!

There are also devices to turn it into a radio so you don't need to miss your favorite programs - or the sports scores!

If you drive a lot, there are accessories to let you plug your Player into your car's stereo system. Some use a cassette tape case (if you have an older car!) while others transmit an FM radio signal which you can tune to your car radio.

There are also accessories for some Players that allow you to record on them. You could create you own walking diary, podcasts, use it for notes and memos and record your mates being silly!

If you really hate taking out those ear buds, there are devices that will let you listen to your iPhone through them via Bluetooth. How efficient!
